Latest Macushield Testimonial

In October 2009 I contacted you, after reading about your findings in respect of AMD in Choice magazine, on behalf of my mother who is an AMD sufferer. For the past 18 months Mum has been taking Macushield tablets which we initially obtained from the optician in Oundle.  However, on one occasion when Mum visited Specsavers, Peterborough and there was a slight improvement showing in her eye test, the optician asked us for details of Macushield, which we did, of course, supply them with.  Specsavers now stock Macushield.
 
For several years now Mum has had a prescription for 1 eye only, plain glass has been used for the poorer eye as there was very little sight in it although after operations for cataracts on both eyes things did improve slightly.  Howevr, I am pleased to tell you that a recent eye test revealed that, whilst the 'precious' eye is holding its own, there has been a sufficient improvement in the poor eye to allow them to give a prescription for that eye.  This will, of course, take some of the strain off the precious eye. 
 
We collected her new spectacles this evening and Mum was so thrilled that she could instantly SEE an improvement herself when she put them on.  The improvement for her has been slow but sure and she will not be able to go back to driving again but it is fantastic for her, at 86 years old, to see an improvement in her health rather than something deteriorating in old age.
